Secretary Report: Meeting was called to order at 8:11pm. We had 24 members in attendance. And two new guests: William, who collects all types of coins, but especially Morgan dollars; and Val, who mostly collects baseball cards, but also collects and makes elongated cents.  Gold closed at 1095.80 and Silver closed at 14.69. The upcoming coin show on 9/13/2015 will be at the Ethan Allen Hotel 9:00am – 4:00pm

Old Business:

-Frank will book us a Summer party NEXT YEAR at one of the Bethel parks.

-Frank will be purchasing 2 tables as our gift to the Senior Center when they are on sale.

-Please bring in any donations such as: Toiletries, Towels, Toothpaste, Washcloths, shaving cream, soap, shampoo, etc… we will be collecting them each meeting, and Rick will bring them to Dorothy Day for us. Thank you Rick!

– Our Fall Coin Show will be September 13, 2015

New Business:

  • Redding Road House is back under the original owners, we will look into having out Christmas Brunch there this year.

Raffle item(s): 1935 quarter won by Jim & 1979 proof set won by Bill. Congratulations!

Secretary Report: We had 18 members in attendance. Gold Closed at $1188.20/ Ounce, Silver Closed at $16.72/ounce. Our May 17th coin show went very well, we have over 150 people in attendance. Our next coin Show will be 9/13/2015, at this point I have 39 out of 43 tables sold.

Treasurers Report: No Report. Treasurer was absent.

Old Business:

-Frank will look into booking us a Summer party at one of the Bethel parks.

-Frank will be purchasing 2 tables as our gift to the Senior Center when they are on sale

We had 23 members in attendance. Gold Closed at $1212.10/ Ounce, Silver Closed at $16.58/ounce.

Treasurers Report:

Expenses(Last Month): $18.73 for donuts.

From the March meeting: The Club took in  $27.00 for the raffle, $7.75 in Auction fees and $12.50 for the good of the Club. Good of the club items were donated by Phil Jones, and Howard Hill.

The Club has the following money assets; $731.84 in Petty Cash and $9,384.91 in the bank

Old Business:

-A motion was made in March to make a donation to Dorothy Day and Green Chimneys Charitable organizations, to give $500 to each organization. It was brought to our attention that the Green Chimneys organization is in NY, and we would like to change that donation to go towards Ann’s Place in Danbury, CT. Motion made by Jim, Seconded by Roger. Result: Passed by voice vote.

-Frank will book us a Summer party at one of the Bethel parks.

Gold Closed at $1193.00/ Ounce,

Silver Closed at $17.04/ounce

Some updates for the show:

We received $2405 for 41 Tables, we paid $1300 for the room leaving $905 net

We paid $130 for the 1/10 ounce Gold Coin and took in $405 giving $275 net

We paid $221.54 for advertising so far which yields $958.46 in profit so far.

There are Coin World and other ads which still remain to be paid.

For the May Show a Deposit of $250 was paid

Expenses(Last Month): $25.40 for Post office box, $30.40 for Doughnuts and $22.00 for Stamps.

The Club took in  $27.00 for the raffle, $8.60 in Auction fees and $58.50 for the good of the Club(Donations)

The Club has the following money assets; $703.31 in Petty Cash and $9,374.91 in the bank

A motion was made to make a donation to Dorothy Day and Green Chimneys Charitable organizations.  Motion by Howard and Seconded by A.J. to give $500 to each organization.

Show and tell:

Tom Brought in an 1829 ½ Dime, and an 1821 quarter and 1845-O (Dollar?)

Raffle item(s) were a 1952-S Quarter, won by Jim  and a 1972 Proof set won by Ricardo

I am sorry to inform you that we have lost one of our members over this past weekend. Dan Ustie passed away on January 18, 2015 due to a heart attack. We send our condolences out to Joyce and the rest of his family. You can find the obituary here.

We will plan ahead for a Summer party for 2015.

New Business:
The US Mint has new 2014 50th anniversary Kennedy sets coming out this year. Get them while they’re hot!

Show & Tell:
Tom: large size currency. Chuck: 2014 – 2,000 Frank Republic of Congo Proof silver coinwith DNA of a tiger!
Good of the Club donations:
Mike: donated some tubes and other coin supplies for free to anyone who wants them. THANKS 

The Fall Coin Show will be September 14. With the Redding Road House being out of business, we have to look into potential new locations to hold our Christmas Brunch this year. Tara is looking into the Ethan Allen for Brunch on 12/7.

No dates available at Bennett park. Frank has put us on a waiting list, if we do not get a date this year we will schedule ahead of time for next year.

New Business:

Tara will send a fruit basket and a get well soon card to Ron, who just had knee surgery and could not be at the meeting. Tara is working on dates for out 2 spring shows in 2015.
